As part of the Brick Lane Festival in London on Sept. 10, the Chili Film Festival will be showcasing the best in independent filmmaking. Like a spicy chili that gets your mouth tingling, we want you, the filmmakers, to set people's hearts and minds on fire!
Just as the chili travelled to the UK and changed the cuisine, people from all over the world have made Britain what it is today. The theme for the first festival is 'JOURNEY'. It can be as specific as an immigrant's tale, or as general as a neighborhood's development over the years. It can include comedies about someone's journey to work, documentaries about journeys into crime, dramas about the journeys and trials of love, animations, music videos -- if you feel that your film represents a journey, we want to see it!
The films will be shown free at a new cinema (richmix.org.uk) and will be part of a multicultural one-day event (bricklanefestival.com).
Films should be no longer than 30 minutes and submitted in DVD format by Monday the 17th of July to:

p.s.: the reason I'm posting this on an Asian American group is because we are particularly interested in South Asian diaspora films (Brick Lane is the Bangladeshi area of town) -- but we also just want a fun, global day of film. :)
